Making Music Time

Today we had our first go at making music to describe one of our feelings. We started with excited and had to think about what sort of rhythm and beat we might use like light and jumpy and a heartbeat that gets faster. We will try some other feelings over the next few days. It was fun but a challenge too.

Sports Skills

We have been very lucky to have had 2 sessions of sports skills at the beginning of the school year - one from Jess from Cricket Otago and the other from Ben and Jordan from Playball. We learned some new warm up activities and some fun skills activities.

Whanau Games Fun

What a wonderful time was had by everyone at our whanau games afternoon last Friday. A big thank you to Mrs Matheson and the senior students in Room 7 who organised the activities for us - we really enjoyed them.

Whanau Fun

Last week at whanau time we had fun playing some co operative games where we had to talk and listen to each other and work together to be able to complete our tasks. There was lots of laughter especially with the passing the hoop without letting go of your partners hands activity.

Praying the Rosary Together

Each morning during the month of October we gather together as a whole school to pray the Rosary. Each class takes a turn to lead the special story or mystery of the day. The children are getting very good at praying using the rosary beads and afe learning about a very special traditional prayer of the Church as well
