St Patrick's Day Mufti Day

There was lots of green on show today as we had a St Patrick's Day mufti day for the PTA. We want to thank our hard working PTA who help us constantly at school by providing us with extra equipment, treats and things we would never have without them.

Year Four children receive their new dictionaries

Today Mr John Seddon from the Taieri Mosgiel Rotary Club presented our Year 4 children with their very own dictionary. The children were really excited about their gift and couldn't wait to take it home to show you at home. A big thank you to our local Rotary Club for continuing to fund this wonderful work on the Taieri Plains.

Science Experiment at Newstime

Kora also made a volcano using baking soda, vinegar, dish wash liquid and food colouring. We loved seeing your experiments Kora - thank you for such exciting news.

Science Experiments

Kora has shared 2 different science experiments with us at newstime. She rubbed a balloon on Nathaniel's hair really quickly and made his hair stick up on end because of friction.

Caritas Visitor

Teresa from Caritas came to visit our school last Tuesday to tell us about how Caritas uses the money raised by school children to help children in other places who need our help because of wars, cyclones, drought, sickness and many other reasons. She helped us to see that it is good to share what we have with others.

Caritas Mufti Day and Coin Trail

Our mufti day and coin trail for Caritas raised $208. We put our coins around the outside of a large cross drawn on the floor of the library and we managed to full in all the lines of the cross. It looked pretty awesome and reminded us that we are part of the family of God and need to help others who need our help. We hope to fill in the cross once again next week on our Simple Lunch day on Wednesday 25th March. Let's hope we can find plenty of coins.

Meet our Triathlon Champions

Well done to Carlo, Leila and Hugo who won the Year 4 triathlon recently at Port Chalmers. Carlo did the biking, Leila did the swimming and Hugo did the running. We are very proud of you all!

Room 3 Buddies

We have met up with our Room 3 buddies for 2020 and have been finding out about one another by answering questions like who has 4 siblings in their family, who has a cat or a dog, who likes ice cream, who comes to school on the bus or by car and things like that. We will catch up again after junior swimming is finished.
