CRICKET SKILLS

Last Thursday we practised batting skills with Shaun and it was fun.




Southern Symphonia Visits St Mary's

Our school foyer sounded beautiful today as we listened to some beautiful music from violins, viola, flute, horn and lots of funny looking percussion instruments. 
Rhys said I loved the beat of the timpani drums. Jacob loved the music Star Wars. John loved the Hoedown as it was fast and catchy. Lots of us loved Vivaldi's Winter that sounded like icicles and cold wind !

What pattern have I made.

We have been making repeating patterns and sequential patterns for our partner to find the rule and then make the next part of the pattern. We have used all sorts of maths equipment

Mrs Dillon's grandsons came to visit Room 4

Mrs Dillon's wee grandsons came to visit Nana at school at the end of term. Jacob liked school but Max just slept! Now they are living in London

Visiting Our Friends at Mossbrae

This morning we strolled along to Mossbrae to sing to and chat to our elderly friends. Thank you to those who came along with us. We sang happy birthday to Joan who was 90 today and to Phair who will be 100 next Sunday. Wow !

NZ Author Visits St Mary's

NZ author Stacy Gregg visited us to tell us about her love of reading and writing books. She writes about things she is really interested in and she encourages us to do the same. She does a lot of research for her books because they are about real people or times in history.

Room 4 Class Mass

Today we had our class Mass where we were thinking about Jesus' gift of himself in the Eucharist. Thank you Father Michael for encouraging us to follow in Jesus' Footsteps.

Have A Go Sports Morning

Year 3 and 4 had an exciting morning trying out new sports at the Edgar Centre last Friday. The children tried gymnastics, hockey, soccer, ripper, netball and mini all skills. A big thank you to the lovely parents who came with us to help out in the "chiller box" you were awesome.
